By Kate Walker
Inspired by the whimsical architectural style of Southern Florida, Kate Walker's latest project and personal home is a feast for the senses.
The home is a fusion of British Colonial, Mediterranean and Art Deco styles complemented by bold contemporary features. A vibrant, expressive style she's coined as 'Caribbean Colonial'.
The Caribbean flavour sets the tone for a relaxed holiday vibe, which can be felt throughout the home. From the stunning colonial facade with its elegant shutters to its beautiful landscaping and swimming pool, the home exemplifies resort style living.
Build by Montique Construction, Shoot styling by Greenhouse Interiors & Photography by Armelle Habib

This project pays respect to British Colonial design featuring dark timber flooring & furniture, whitewashed walls, indoor plant campaign furniture and plantation shutters throughout. The British Colonial features have developed a rich sense of history, collection and curation.
Boyd Blue's bespoke furnishings complimented this design seamlessly. With some of our core pieces like the Clifton Console, Houghton Bed,& Lodge Dining chairs featured. It is clear to see that KWD's design ethos aligns, placing environmentally friendly, ethically sourced, sustainable products into her home.
