Rising from Burleigh Heads with sweeping ocean views, Dune is a coastal residence defined by form, texture and light.
Designed and built by GRAYA, the four-storey home pairs sculptural architecture with a warm, natural palette, bringing a sense of calm sophistication to its elevated setting.
Maverick Bedside
Across one of the guest bedrooms, the Maverick Bedside continues this natural dialogue. Its sculptural curves and grounded timber form mirror the home’s architectural language, while its warmth softens the tonal palette of stone and linen. More than a functional piece, it extends the home’s material harmony through considered, tactile and quietly enduring design.
Material Continuity
The material story unfolds through soft plaster walls, pale oak joinery and a refined mix of travertine and marble. Every element feels considered and connected, with the fluted travertine island mirrored in the sculptural vanity of the ensuite and the repetition of finger tiles threading a subtle continuity throughout. Gentle variations in stone and timber grain bring depth to the neutral palette, creating a seamless sense of movement between rooms.
Light & Proportion
Light plays an integral role in revealing the home’s layered textures. Gentle shifts in tone bring movement to the plastered walls and curved forms, while the consistency of materials and proportion establishes a sense of rhythm throughout. The result is a home that feels unified and effortless, balancing luxury with restraint.
