Debra Ellis

Debra pretty much knows everyone there is to know in the Queensland design scene. And if she doesn’t know them, then she soon will. With over 25 years experience working in the interior design industry and the majority of that time spent selling high-end fabrics; Debra is an expert at providing product and fabric advice.

Boyd Blue provides her with a variety of gorgeous brands to work with and that is definitely one thing she loves about it – the range! Passionate about people, Debra loves to nurture them, and make them feel happy and confident. This applies to family, friends and work colleagues. Her other true passion is her family, spending time with her teenage girls and husband can also be called a passion.

Nicola Dorman

A relatively new member of our team, Nicola loves interiors and believes that your home environment should reflect your unique personality. Based in the Brisbane Showroom, this is her first role in the interior design industry after completing her Certificate IV in Interior Decoration. Her current Boyd Blue passion is for the Lucy Bedhead from the White furniture range. With a reputation for providing great service with a friendly, nothing is too much trouble approach; it’s worth getting to know Nicola because she also loves to bake. So if you are in need of a dessert recipe or just a plain and simple sugar fix recommendation, then Nicola is your girl.

Karen Elliot

Karen is our accounts whizz and she has been taking care of all things payment-related for the past three years. With a number of business qualifications under her belt; including a Bachelor of Commerce she is now studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in French, World Literature and Linguistics. She is passionate about film and literature, and keeps fit by kayaking on Moreton Bay. She recently started Dragon Boat racing but isn’t sure if this activity will become a passion yet!

Shelley Boyd

Shelley Boyd is the owner and founder of Boyd Blue. With an amazing passion for seeking out new and interesting products, from all over the globe, she finds it very satisfying when you love the stuff as much as she does. With a background in textiles; upholstery and decorating; Shelley has designed her own career in the industry.

It’s no surprise to learn that Shelley is passionate about everything Boyd Blue sources and sells. She loves the mix of products and while she doesn’t have a favourite, she loves the custom mohair rug by Hiphome Luxury Rugs, adores the solid Oak dining tables from Boyd and finds the quirky yet classic pieces from White irresistible. Shelley also loves the collection of mirrors, particularly the ornate hard carved, pressed silver foil mirrors.

Shelley’s passion for her team is contagious. When she is not thinking about Boyd Blue she likes to spend time developing her new hobby of growing things – yep that’s flowers and veggies.

Tracey Marquart

Tracey’s enthusiasm and talent in terms of going above and beyond in terms of customer service is undeniable. With over ten years experience in the interior design industry, and four with Boyd Blue, there isn’t much she doesn’t know about our range.

Tracey loves how each collection works back with another and particularly gets a kick out of seeing Boyd’s range incorporated into designer spaces featured in interior design magazines.

When not feeding her passion for design, Tracey loves to spend time with her gorgeous family. Whether that’s by going on picnics, bush walks or family trips, as long as her time is spent with them, then she is content.

Rhea Harvey

Having recently completed her Interior Design studies at CATC, Rhea has worked in the Interior Design Industry for two years. Based in the Gold Coast Showroom, her service philosophy is to provide clients with a warm smile and welcoming experience each time they visit. Rhea loves the mix of beautiful, eclectic and quirky pieces available in the Showroom, particularly the glassware and lighting from the Boyd range.

Passionate about family, friends, fashion and design, Rhea is also a keen artist and traveller. Her favourite international destination is Paris. She adores the food, the fashion and architecture and is always inspired by this amazing city.

Sharon Cripps

Passionate about beautiful, beautiful, things and wanting clients to enjoy their Boyd Blue experience means that Sharon loves coming to work each day in Boyd Blue’s Gold Coast Showroom. Sharon studied Interior Design at TAFE and has worked in the interiors industry for the past five years. Sharon is continually impressed by the way that the various product groups in the Boyd Blue range complement each other.

Sharon’s philosophy is that life is short and that you need to enjoy what you do, and she does. She’s passionate about her family and enjoys time spent hanging out with them, walking Harry the Lhasa Apso Shih Tzu (which is just another name for a very cute dog) and getting some well earned retail therapy at her favourite Marina Mirage boutiques.

Danielle Grieff

Danielle joined the Boyd Blue team earlier this year after receiving her Diploma in Interior Design and Decoration from Lidcombe TAFE.  Danielle enjoys the challenge of helping clients find exactly what they need for their project and her attention to detail makes it all seem so effortless.

All things French are her inspiration – the city, the food and their stylish interiors.  She covets the Ascot Chair and knows it would fit perfectly into her Parisian dream.

Georgia Anderson

Georgia began her design career in the fashion industry working both for an Australian Fashion Designer and for a Fashion Agency.  After five years in fashion she moved into interiors two years ago. Georgia has studied the Bachelor of design in Interior Design at UTS and is currently completing her interior design course at the Design Centre, Enmore.

When not studying, she likes to indulge her passions of travel and photography.  A hemp rug from the Hip Home collection would be her item of choice to incorporate into her own interior.

Mia Hulcombe

Mia has honed her exceptional sales and service skills with thirteen years spent in the textiles, interiors and furniture manufacturing industries.  Arriving in Sydney earlier this year yet originally from Brisbane, she studied Interior Design and Photography at Griffith University.

If she had to choose just one item from the collection for her home, it would be the Grace Sofa.  She’s a food and wine fanatic and can be found seeking out new culinary experiences in her new home town most weekends and weeknights too.

Marie Nunan

Passionate about unique design, Marie is the vintage girl in the Boyd Blue team. She loves to tailor her own vintage finds to ensure that no one else has the same outfit, ever. She’s also a keen reader and history is one of her favourite topics.

Marie recently joined the interior design industry and is currently studying a Diploma of Interior Design through the Interior Design Institute. As for the Boyd Blue pieces that she would love in her home, the deep buttoned chairs and lounges by White are a favourite along with the Boyd mirrors. With a caring and personal approach to service you can be sure that your orders are in good hands.

Stephanie Lahtinen

Stephanie recently joined Boyd Blue to manage the Operations and Administration functions.  Stephanie has fifteen years administrative experience as an Office Manager, Personal Assistant and in Supervision gained in a variety of industries, including manufacturing, civil engineering and local government. 

She has quickly learned to love the diversity of the Boyd Blue range and loves the selection of mirrors but admits that her favourite item changes from week to week, particularly as she sees new collections arrive.  In the final year of completing her Bachelor of Applied Social Science, Stephanie is also a passionate foodie, who enjoys trying new styles of old favourite recipes.
